Main tasks

The scientific advisory board will ensure a high standard of research and monitor the progress of the project by taking part in the annual Project Governing Board Meetings. Whenever appropriate, it will consult the consortium and make recommendations as to improve their performance.

Adviser Environment and Human Heath Interactions, European Commission, DG Joint Research Centre, Institute of Environment and Sustainability

Current tasks:

• Action leader of the JRC action ENVIHEALTH - Health Impact Assessment of Environmental Risk Factors. Preparation of EEA/JRC Reference report on Environment and Health.
• JRC contact person (on behalf of the IES Director) to the European Environment Agency.
• In the scientific advisory board of FP6/FP7 project and of 2 (UK and SE) national research programs.

Publications and publishing activities:

• Published 72 papers in peer-reviewed journals in the area of aquatic physiology and toxicology.
• 3 popular articles or reports.
• Editor-in-Chief for 9 years, 1996-2004, for Aquatic Toxicology (Elsevier). Currently on the editorial board.
